Welcome to the Bronx History section of The New York Public Library's Bronx on the Web. The following is a compilation of documents and links relating to Bronx history.

We also encourage you to consult a librarian at your local branch for more information. In addition to books on Bronx history, many branches have collections of articles, pamphlets, and other ephemera relating to local history.

The Bronx County Historical Society also has an extensive collection of items relating to the Bronx. Many of the Society's publications were used as sources for the Bronx History documents.
