The Bronx on the Web: Education

Various print directories to educational institutions and programs are available in the Reference collections or the Community Information Service collections of NYPL Branch Libraries.

Many high schools and community centers offer a variety of evening and Saturday classes for adults, children, and teenagers. Brochures and flyers announcing such programs are frequently posted in Branch Libraries. Continuing education programs, as well as degree programs, are offered at several area colleges. Check their home pages for further information.

See also Inside Schools, which includes statistical profiles and narrative descriptions of New York City schools, information about student entitlements, and a forum for parents and school professionals to exchange information and opinions about schools. The site is provided by Advocates for Children of New York.
