Andrew Heiskell Library's Book Discussion Group
Digital and Cassette Talking Books
Do you enjoy reading good books? Do you wish you had someone to discuss them with? If so, why not join the Andrew Heiskell Library's Adult Book Discussion Group? The group meets to discuss thought-provoking books every other month on Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in the library's first floor meeting room.
To participate, please call the library at (212) 206-5400, or email us at ahlbph@nypl.org to register. Registration is required. Attendance is limited to 20 people, so call well in advance to sign up and tell us which format of the book you'd like.
For people unable to visit the library, the questions will be posted on our Facebook page. Meetings are held on Saturdays at 10:00 a.m. Most of the titles are available in standard print. Some are also available in large print.
Schedule
- December 17 - The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot, DB 70661
There are book discussion groups that meet in other branches of The New York Public Library; however, there is no guarantee that the books being discussed will be available in alternate formats. To find more discussion groups, check The New York Public Library's Book Discussion Groups Schedule.
Happy reading!
