Sound? (1967; 27 min). (Also known by the alternate title New Tempo) The enigmatic questions about musical sounds put forth by John Cage are interspersed with Rahsaan Roland Kirk's experiments with the actual sounds themselves.
John Cage Talks About Cows (1991; 38 min). John Cage speaks from Crown Point Press about his experiences at Black Mountain College, his initial encounter with the I Ching, and his prints and music (1st work); Cage performs his composition One/seven (2nd work)
Strange Music of Nam June Paik (1975, 27 min). This film presents Nam June Paik's performance, video art with Charlotte Moorman, and John Cage's music and performance.

Monday August 11th at 6PM

John Cage Performs James Joyce (1985, 15 min). A private performance by John Cage realizing his 'Writing for the fifth time through Finnegans Wake” in three ways: reading, singing, and whispering.
John Cage (1969; 27 min). A conversation between avant garde composer and philosopher of aesthetics, John Cage and Jack Kroll, senior arts editor at Newsweek
John Cage (1983; 60min) Insights into the music and ideas of American composer John Cage, incorporating performance and conversations with and about the artist. Includes a performance to celebrate Cage's 70th birthday.

Monday August 18th at 6PM

Marcel Duchamp and John Cage (1974; 25 min). A posthumous tribute to Marcel Duchamp using stills of the famed chess match between the artist and John Cage. The board was wired for sound so that it became a musical instrument.
Points in Space (1986; 29 min). This documentary charts the creation of a television dance piece combining the efforts of choreographer Merce Cunningham, composer John Cage, and filmmaker Elliot Caplan.

Cage/Cunningham (1991; 95 min). This lyrical documentary chronicles the forty-five year collaboration between the late composer John Cage and choreographer Merce Cunningham.
