As a serious peruser of the September issue of Vogue Magazine, I noted with amusement that the 2077 issue had a section on feathers as the latest chic accessory feature. What made me giggle was how impractical the feathers looked as adornment. What about the anti-animal abuse brigade? Theer are also laws in this country that prohibit the taking and sue of certain bird feathers, like eagles. Native Americans can get a dispensation to use them in religious ceremonies. On the other hand, your average stray pigeon feather is a dime a dozen.
Maybe the trick is to find a peacock feather and stick it on our modish cloche hat? I still think this business about feathers is a left-over from the last September 2006 issue of Vogue when Kristen Dunst modelled as Marie Antoinette.
