September is a super-powered month that sees the release of this summer's biggest hit movie, The Avengers. If you're looking for a laugh, we've got you covered, with releases of The Five-Year Engagement, What to Expect When You're Expecting and Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3. September also has many TV releases such as Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock, The Office, and many more! Get a jump start ahead of the rest, and reserve these plus many more September DVD releases now!

In the months of June and July, we have been seeing many great DVD movies coming to the Library. Reserve titles now using the Library's new Catalog. Highlights include big comedy releases American Reunion, Casa de Mi Padre, The Three Stooges, Project X, Jeff Who Lives at Home, Wanderlust and 21 Jump Street. June and July also offers some great family films, such as Mirror Mirror, A Thousand Words and John Carter. If you want to catch up with some critically acclaimed Television shows, the Library's got you covered, with releases of Louie, and Breaking Bad's latest seasons. Get a 

If you're a fan of live music and comedy, there is no better city to live in than New York City. Every day there is something exciting going on, somewhere in the city. More importantly, a lot of these events are free or very cheap. In the past year, I have seen Foster the People, MGMT, Santigold, Metric, Jimmy Cliff, Matt & Kim, Crystal Castles, the Roots and the Silversun Pickups for absolutely free! I have also seen Lewis Black, Jim Gaffigan, Patton Oswalt, Janeane Garofalo, Wyatt Cenac and many more perform stand-up for $5 or less! Even better, sometimes these events also have free food and drinks. Keeping in the spirit of the Library to provide excellent free or cheap resources,

There won't be too many new DVDs coming to the Library in April, but the ones we will get are really great! Reserve titles now using the Library's new catalog, BiblioCommons. Highlights include Academy Award Best Picture winner, The Artist; Best Picture nominee, War Horse; and the Iron Lady, starring Best Actress in a Leading Role, Meryl Streep. April also has big Hollywood thrillers, with Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Contraband, and The Darkest Hour. There's also We Bought a Zoo, if that's your thing. Looking back, the DVDs that came to the Library in February were kind of crummy, but man, in the month of March, the DVD movies coming to the Library are great. Reserve titles now using the Library's new BiblioCommons catalog.
