I love The Wrath And The Dawn, which is an innovative retelling of A Thousand and One Nights. The Wrath and The Dawn is Renée Ahdieh's debut novel. Here are some of my favorite quotes from the epic tale:
"I was one of the foremost merchants of Rey for decades, and I understand the notion of a commodity. Something is rare and desirable when it is made to seem so." (p.117)
"I thank you, Rahim. As always, your abiding confidence in me casts any possibility of doubt astray." (p. 122)
"No. You are having a conversation with my wife. And you are quite close to having the last conversation of your life." (p. 154-155)
"What do you mean?"
"Strong enough to take on the world with our bare hands, yet we permit ridiculous boys to make fools of us." (p.208)
The second book in the Shahrzad and Khalid saga is entitled The Rose And The Dagger and will be released in May 3, 2016.
