In the past few years many YA books have been successfully turned into film such as the Harry Potter franchise, DivergentTwilight, The Hunger Games, Vampire Academy, If I Stay,  The Giver and The Maze Runner just to name a few.  TV shows such as The Vampire Diaries and Pretty Little Liars have also been very successful.

Some of the titles mentioned below will be released as films or TV shows in 2015 and 2016. Most if not all of these books have already sold the film rights.

I would really like to see the novel Uglies by Scott Westerfeld as a film or a TV series. Uglies is one of the first dystopian novels I remember reading. Uglies tells the story of Tally. Tally lives in a dystopian world where everyone is born Ugly and on their sixteen birthday people get surgery to become Pretty. When Tally turns 16 years old, she will get her surgery to become Pretty and her life will be all about having fun.

A few weeks before her sixteenth birthday and her surgery Tally meets a girl named Shay. Shay does not want to become Pretty so she decides to run away. Tally is forced to find Shay and turn her in or she wont be able to become a Pretty. In her search Tally finds secrets about the Pretty world that make her question everything about her world.
