The New York State Department of Labor and the New York City Police Department will present On-Site Recruitment Information Sessions for School Safety Officer, Traffic Enforcement Agent and Police Officer in the following locations.

Information Sessions

School Safety Officer

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age at time of appointment.
  • Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Starting Salary: $31,259 yearly

Traffic Enforcement Agent

  • Must Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must possess a Driver's License valid in the State of New York.
  • Be 18 years of age at time of appointment.
  • Starting Salary: $29,217 yearly ($33,600 after 2 years)

Police Officer

  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age on or before the day of hire.
  • Sixty (60) college credits with a 2.0 G.P.A. from an accredited college or university, or
  • Two (2) years of full-time, active military service in the United States Armed Forces with an honorable discharge and have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Starting Salary: $44,744/yearly
