Take A or C train to Hoyt/Schermerhorn stop and we are directly across the street. Or, take 2, 3, 4, or 5 train to Nevins Street. At Flatbush Avenue Extension (Chase Bank), walk up Nevins (past Livingston Street) to Schermerhorn and make a right. Walk to Bond and Schermerhorn. 250 is on the corner, across the street.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: In order to take the exam to become a NYC Firefighter, you MUST:

Be at least 17 1/2 years old by the end of the application period and under 29 years of age at the beginning of the application period; and
File an application to take the firefighter exam. Applications will be available to the public upon actual release of the Notification of Examination.
 
WAGES: Base Salary: $43,074, after five years $99, 104.
