LGBT Special Libraries and Museums

Gay rights demonstration, Albany, New York, 1971 [17]., Digital ID 1582017, New York Public LibraryI cataloged a couple of gay libraries in Dublin, Ireland and Albany, NY, and there has been much in the news media lately about LGBT rights since New York State began recognizing gay and lesbian marriages in 2011. I think it is awesome and terrific that people are now able to legally marry who they love regardless of the gender of the spouses. Below are some LGBT libraries and museums that I found.

Alef who like to paint looking for new opportunities

Good day! My name is Alef, I’m 26 and I like to paint :). For the period of 5 years I've painted more than 50 different works (http://alef-art.blogspot.ru/ or https://www.facebook.com/art.alef?ref=hl) and I really wish to open up them to the world. I’ll be really thankful to you if you give me any feedback about my works and recommend me right people, who could help me to open up my works to the world  At the moment I live in Russia, and unfortunately there is a restriction on promotion of homosexuality, so I’m very interested in exhibitions, sponsorships and others art projects and offers abroad. Thank you in advance for help and advises. Alef
Dear Ms. McDermott: I hope you are well and don't find this too "pushy" of me but I am just trying to get the word out about this...To paraphrase from the Intro page: "In 2019, on the whole, LGBTQI history is not taught in school curriculums, thus a person (student) might like the way an image is presented here and want to learn more about who/what is represented. Moreover a museum online is more easily accessed as long as a person has internet capacity or the means to get to a place (a library, friend’s house, community center etc.) which has it." https://thestephenmeadchromamuseum.weebly.com/ If you believe this is a worthwhile endeavor please feel free to visit the museum and, if you have time, pass word on to your various networks who may also find it useful. Diverse people of all colors, sexualities, identities etc. are encouraged to right-click, save images and re-post online wherever they see fit. Take care for now, Stephen
