Shakespeare and Teens: "The Juliet Club"

Well, it's April and time for Shakespeare Week. And once again, to read a great novel—The Juliet Club, by Wertheim writer Suzanne Harper.  Here is the blog post about it from 2 years ago.  It (the novel, that is) is as good as the first time.

But this year's Shakespeare Week also happily includes teens; On Wednesday the 17th at 1:15 p.m., here in the Stephen A. Schwarzman building, finalists from the English Speaking Union's Shakespeare Recitation Contest will each recite a sonnet and a monolog, and afterwards participate in a Master Class in Stage Combat with B.H. Barry.  Mr. Barry is hot stuff—he's worked on Broadway, at the Met, on TV, in films of course, in England, gotten an OBIE.  This may just turn out to be fabulous.

Tell me when you come (I'll channel Pearl Mesta as always) that you've read this post and I'll give you a free and silly gift.
