July is here and Independence Day isn't the only time you'll see sparks! (And we don't mean Nicholas!) Head over to New Dorp Library and get involved in some of our amazing programs for all ages, without the fear of being burned by a sparkler!
This month you can look forward to attending our classic programs such as Read Aloud, Teen Cafe and Exercise Programs! But to add a little color this summer we're throwing in some other awesome programs! Check them out and have a blast at your favorite library!
Read Aloud in the Library!
Enjoy hearing books read aloud, finger plays, action rhymes and coloring.

Baby Rhyme Time

Bring your baby to an interactive program featuring simple books, songs and movement.

Teen Café Remixed
July - 7/9 2:30 – 4:30 PM
Teen Cafe is the place to be! Come hang out with your friends and your favorite librarians, play some PS3 or Wii, eat some snacks, or do some homework. You can even play Magic, Yu-gi-oh, or regular cards. The Teen Café has it all. When you get out of school and your looking to unwind, head on over to New Dorp Library — we've got you covered! For ages 12-18.
Our two favorite teen programs have merged together: Anime Club and Teen Art Club! Join us and play a game, do some homework, meet new friends, create your own artwork, or discuss and watch anime! There's a little something for everyone! July - 7/11, 7/18 2:30 – 4:00 PM For ages 12 to 18.
Stay Well Exercise is held on Tuesdays, July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31,at 1 p.m. The Stay Well exercise program is geared for all seniors, ranging from the fit to those with disabilities. The curriculum includes aerobic exercises, as well as routines designed to enhance balance, build muscle strength, and aid in the performance of the tasks associated with daily living. Classes end with stress reduction exercises. Classes normally run 40 to 50 minutes and are held once a week.
