“Gay Power to Gay Lovers”
Remember, marriage equality passed in New York last night because of 40 years of political activism. Pictured above is GAA's Jim Owles with "Gay Power to Gay Lovers" wedding cake at the Gay Activist Alliance's zap of the New York City Clerk for marriage equality in 1971. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thank you, for posting this! The Gay Activist Alliance is still going strong in New Jersey! Our group is the last of the original Gay Activist Alliances and this year we will celebrate our 39th Anniversary (founded in Sept. '72). We still every Monday in Morristown. Come join us some evening for fun, entertainment, community...oh, and a little touch of activism.
Andy Skurna,
Current Treasurer (and past president) of GAAMC
