Harlem Library Cinema Series @ George Bruce - May 2011
Have you found your calling? The May film screening from The National Black Programming Consortium, The Calling, explores this topic as it follows seven people who feel that they have found theirs.
From the NBPC website you find the following description:
It takes a true calling to make faith a way of life. The Calling is a four hour documentary series that follows seven Muslims, Catholics, Evangelical Christians and Jews on a dramatic journey—training to become professional clergy. Embarking on life paths that demand tremendous personal sacrifice and commitment, these seminarians must uphold timeless truths in an era that values quick fixes and hot trends.
Join us on May 11, 2011 at 5:30 for this thought-provoking documentary. While these seven young people have been called to ministerial careers, this film may cause you to pause and ponder—and ask yourself that time honored question—Have I found my calling? Am I using my strengths, talents and abilities in the right area of endeavor? Something to think about.
See you there.
