TAG reviews: Mario and Sonic and the Olympic Games

Share

Last Friday, Muhlenberg’s Teen Advisory Group got together and played Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. Everyone had an opinion and I thought it would be perfect for the very first “TAG reviews” installment. Let me just say that the reviews were very mixed…

Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games (played on the Wii)

Can you play this game alone?

“Yes!” (x3)
“No, I need people”
“Oh yeah!”
“No, its terrible!”

Is it good for big groups of friends?

“Yes!” (x3)
“Yes! It's good for competition”
“Nah”
“No, its too hard”

Some things I like about the game:

“It's very fun and cool”
“How you can laugh and smile while being somewhat competitive. Also, it helps exercise”
“It's fun and cool, also a good workout!”
“everything!”
“good graphics”
“Multiple characters and being able to use your Mii”

What I don’t like about the game:

“too slow”
“they put the best game series from Nintendo (and possibly the best of all time) with the worst GAME SERIES IN ALL OF HISTORY. The graphics make every character look like they have face deficiencies."

The verdict? Either you love it or really, really hate it. If you like Wii sports, you’ll probably like this game but if you are looking for a challenge, this might not be the game for you.
