Hand-Made

Design by the Book--The Big Reveal.

It's been grand working with our Design by the Book artists Lorena Barrezueta, Rebecca Kutys, Mike Perry, John Pomp, and Julia Rothman. They never failed to surprise me in their interests and their unexpected uses of what they found at the Library. In this, the last episode, they share their Library-inspired creations. I hope that you've enjoyed this series. Stay tuned for future DIY and design projects from the Library!

Jessica.......I really

Jessica.......I really enjoyed watching this project unfold. I live in Central NY and our library is small but I've emailed the librarian and hope that we can do something similar at our library! The books you showed one of the artists on paper folding - i found one - the one by Shari Lewis. The other "Paper Folding and Modeling" I cannot find - is it possible to send me the author's name. Seeing the NY Public Library in the videos was a treat. I have never been but hope to when I visit the city. Great work! dolores

Thanks for your question,

Thanks for your question, Dolores. The book that you ask about is called Paper folding and modelling, and it's by Aart van Breda. Have fun with your own library collaborations!
