Brief Biography:
Trent Love recorded his oral history on February 13th, 2013 at the James J. Peters Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Bronx, NY. Mr. Love was a first lieutenant in the army, serving from 1996-2008. During his service, Mr. Love was part of the response team on 9/11 and also was in Iraq during Iraqi Freedom. With a college bachelor degree, Mr. Love enlisted because he interested in the military police; he wanted to be able to give power to the powerless. Mr. Love’s most poignant story is when he describes the day of and days after 9/11. His unit was called onto the scene and everyone was covered in dust so it didn’t matter who you were and everyone was united. Today, Mr. Love maintains his own YouTube channel focusing on veterans and is an active member of the non-profit organization, The Mission Continues.
