RuPaul's Drag Race host and cultural icon RuPaul joins Paul Holdengräber for a conversation about all things drag and beyond. Or, as RuPaul himself might say, "the library is open."

RUPAUL Charles was crowned “The Queen of Manhattan” in 1989. In 1992, RuPaul achieved international fame with the hit song “Supermodel (You Better Work)," and scored another hit the following year with “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart,” his duet with Elton John. In all, RuPaul has made 11 solo albums, including the latest, Realness. RuPaul received a seven-year contract as “the first face” of M.A.C. Cosmetics, becoming the first person in drag to do so. In addition to being the host of VH1’s The RuPaul Show and host and Executive Producer for Logo TV’s RuPaul’s Drag Race (now in its seventh season), RuPaul has appeared in over 50 films and television sitcoms. He has also hosted the morning radio show for WKTU, and currently hosts the podcast What’s the Tee? With Michelle Visage. His books include Workin’ It and Lettin’ It All Hang Out. He splits his time between New York City and Los Angeles.
