Brief Biography:
Rudy Garcia recorded his oral history on February 13th, 2013 at the James J. Peters Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Bronx, NY. Mr. Garcia was an E-4 in the United States Air Force serving in Afghanistan and Iraq from 1995-2003. After going to an air show with his brother, Mr. Garcia decided to enlist in the Air Force and chose to be C141 aircraft load master. In this interview, Mr. Garcia describes some of his most influential and memorable missions. Currently, Mr. Garcia is an employee of the New York Public Library and is working towards his masters degree. Mr. Garcia’s goal is to earn his Ph.D and be a professor.
