On Saturday, November 13th... are you game? From 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, celebrate National Gaming Day at the Mid-Manhattan Library!

In collaboration with libraries across the nation, the Mid-Manhattan location of the New York Public Library will be hosting a six-hour event of nothing but Games, Games, Games! Come, sit, and play at one of our five specialized board game tables! Games such as Scrabble, Battleship, Checkers and the official NGD game Wits & Wagers will be played all day!

...but maybe board games aren't your thing? No problemo! We also have Nintendo Wii! AND we'll be playing Wii all day!! Isn't that Wii-derful!? Embrace your inner video gamer. There is totally something for everyone!!

Gaming of all types at the library encourages young patrons to interact with a diverse group of peers, share their expertise with others (including adults), and develop new strategies for gaming and learning. Plus, it's a way for traditionally underserved groups to have fun in the library and interact with other members of the community.

Gaming Day is a great opportunity for families to get out of the house and play together in the one community institution that welcomes everyone. Need more info? Visit http://ngd.ala.org/
