The Dance Oral History Channel: Kevin McKenzie Interview, Excerpt

The Interview with Kevin McKenzie, conducted by Rose Anne Thom, was video recorded by François Bernadi on October 22, 2011, for the Speaking of Dancing project.
 
This excerpt follows a question from Rose Anne Thom about Kevin McKenzie’s experiences as a dancer working with choreographers who were highly specific in their demands.  In his answer, McKenzie relates an anecdote about his first encounter with choreographer Antony Tudor, which casts intriguing light on the relationship between technique and dramatic imagination in performance.
