The Interview with Janet Panetta, conducted by Gia Kourlas, was audio recorded on January 28 and February 4, 2011.

In this excerpt Janet Panetta describes the profound influence of Antony Tudor on her life, both as an artist and as a teacher.  Although characteristically irreverent, Panetta’s deep admiration for Tudor is evident.

The Oral History Project Interview with Janet Panetta was made possible with assistance from the New York State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.  You can listen to the interview in its entirety on-site on the third floor of the Library for the Performing Arts.  A full description of the interview, including a content summary, can be found here.
