Brief Biography:

Earl Jacobson recorded his oral history on February 20th, 2013. Mr. Jacobson was a captain in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. This interview was extra special because Mr. Jacobson was interviewed by his daughter, Emily, who is an employee at the New York Public Library. During his service, Mr. Jacobson spent time in Thailand, California, and Massachusetts. Mr. Jacobson believes he has gotten more out of the war than he put into it, a thought he feels most veterans share. In this interview, Mr. Jacobson discusses a wide variety of things: friendships, food, snake bites, jungle life, and much more.
