I have attended John Crant Self-Recruiter lectures which are always incredibly informative and on target. This is a great lecture on LinkedIn which I found very helpful even after attending the lecture as there is so much material to absorb in one sitting. Bravo John! Thank you NYPL for funding these lectures.

I have attended 2 of John's lecture's - 'Resume Renovation' & 'Organizing & Managing Your Job Search'. John is positive, enthusiatic and smart. I felt empowered after leaving his seminars and appreciated so much his help. I plan to attend again as a reinforcement.
Thanks John - you are a real service to the community !
John's Creative Slant

I've seen a lecture or two on how to use LinkedIn, but they focused on how to use it technically. John guides us to use it creatively and encourages us to be individuals. I like the way you think innovatively, John.
Watching the lecture online I could stop & start it to take thorough notes and really absorb it. I like hearing John’s lectures in person also; he brings an uplifting, positive & creative energy to a group which is vital in the current market. Providing a venue for job searchers to meet in person is an incredibly productive and valuable experience. The benefits would be increased if it were possible to have time for attendees to interact following lectures, so that we could exchange ideas, get to know other professionals in this situation, and provide mutual support.
SIBL hosting John and other lecturers is some of the best spent tax dollars. THAT's government working for the people! SIBL / NYPL, please bring us more John Crant lectures. This is a great help in getting our economy back on track and helping to educate our citizens to be the best we can be.
Thank you John, NYPL & SIBL; keep up the great work!

I was in that classroom. He is a great speaker and what he presented was very helpful to me. I'm glad the library put this on video so everyone can learn. Nowadays the job market is so different than when I entered (30+ years ago). Keep it up NYPL!
