Acclaimed for their culinary works, Chez Panisse restaurateur Alice Waters and James Beard Award-winner and wine importer Kermit Lynch discuss their mutual interests in food, wine, and the impact on the environment.

Berkeley, California has proven itself as one of the culinary capitals of the United States. Known for their emphasis on fresh, locally-grown ingredients, Berkeley chefs helped to pioneer this type of cuisine that is now adored worldwide. At the core of this food movement is Waters, chef at the famous Chez Panisse restaurant. However, delectable food is just part of the dining experience; fine wine completes it. Lynch, an esteemed winemaker and wine importer, adds to the richness of the Berkeley culinary experience with his passion for and knowledge of wine. Waters, a pioneer in the local food movement, has described Lynch as a "revolutionary wine merchant who, almost single-handedly, has brought about a new understanding of wine as a unique expression of land, tradition, and people." LIVE brings these two beloved figures from Berkeley's culinary scene to New York for a conversation sure to satisfy your appetite for good conversation.
