The Art and Picture Collections at Mid-Manhattan Library present Ada's Shop, a collaborative site specific exhibition, by multimedia artists Marianne R. Petit and Matthew Belanger. They use two-dimensional, pop-up, and motorized dioramic elements to explore the world and work of Ada Lovelace (1815-1852), the daughter of Lord Byron, who is recognized today as the first computer programmer (the United States Department of Defense named one of its computer languages ADA in her honor).
