Evelyn Briggs Baldwin was a meteorologist and Polar explorer who accompanied Robert E. Peary on his North Greenland expedition in 1892-1894. The collection containshis research files and the correspondence generated in thecourse of his research on the Baldwin, Briggs, Bishop, Ryder, and other allied families. The research materials include transcriptions of vital records, bible records, cemetery inscriptions, financial and legal records, and genealogical notes and charts.
