Personal and professional correspondence, choreographic notes, scripts, speeches, and lectures.
These papers were in the possession of Agnes de Mille atthe time of her death. They include her active correspondence files and family letters. Collections donated to the Dance Collection prior to 1994 are cataloged separately.
Series III. Legal and financial Correspondence contains dance and literary contracts from 1971-1990.
Series IV. Correspondence is divided into two subseries:A. Personal and B. Business. Correspondence of special interest includes that of Mary Green, Therese Horner, HansChristian Lankes, Michael Menzies, James Mitchell, Fukio Uramatsu, and Leland Windreich. Many notable individuals in dance and other fields are represented.
Series V. Writings includes 102 folders of scenarios andchoreographic notes, scripts for dramatic works titled 'Lyric history' and 'Henry George,' and many speeches and lectures.
