Scope/Contents Note
Contains scrapbook pages of mostly mounted photographs with handwritten identifications reflecting Arden's stage career as well as travel and family. There are many portraits of Arden and also a few printed items including handwritten song lyrics and a curriculum vitae.
Biographical/Historical Note
Anita Arden, burlesque actress, (born Feb. 1916), marriedBritish film star Guy Middleton on May 7, 1949. She appeared in musical revues and clubs mainly in New York City, but also toured Europe in the late 1930s, with the U.S.O. during World War II and with Gypsy Rose Lee and others after the war. Arden also appeared in the film MALAGA with her husband.
