Scope/Contents Notes

The Mitch McGuire collection contains several unpublished interviews of theatrical agents and casting directors. They were to have been published in BACKSTAGE newspaper.

All of the interviews were recorded in early 1987 in NewYork City. Interviewees include Bret Adams, Arista Bakronis, Marje Fields, Milt Goldman, Mike Hartig, Lester and Juliet Lewis, Wendy Litwak, Barry Moss, Barna Ostertag,Eddy Robbins, Monte Silver, Charles B. Tranum, Ann and DanWright.

Biographical/Historical Note

Mitch McGuire is an actor who was educated at the Goodman Theatre, Chicago, IL and the Santa Monica City College. He co-founded and was executive director of Manhattan Punchline for 8 years. He has written interviews for SAG newsletter, Backstage and Standby magazines, and has done voice overs for television.
