Scope/Contents Notes
The Gena Branscombe collection contains noncommercial recordings primarily of radio broadcasts made by the Branscombe Choral from 1935-1954, and of works by Gena Branscombe performed by other choral groups, soloists, andinstrumentalists. Among the Branscombe Choral broadcastsare a number of works by American composers, including many of Branscombe's own choral arrangements and compositions, many of them first radio performances.
The collection also contains a recording of the Branscombe Centennial concert given November 15, 1981 at Barnard Hall, Columbia University, New York, NY.
