46 ALS, 12 TLS and 6 postcards to Mrs. Edith M. Judkins and her daughter Miss Edith M. Judkins II from various persons responding to an appeal in The American Agriculturalist, 1961 Jan. 7, for information about singing schools, singing masters, and song-books, for use in the daughter's master's thesis. Letters originate chiefly in the Northeastern States and contain reminiscences and other material covering years from about1830 through 1921.
