Diary entitled Im Hause Richard Wagners : ein Beitrag zum Familienleben des grossen Meisters (92 leaves) ; curriculum vitae entitled Mein Lebenslauf ([7] p.) ; application by Susanne Weinert for assistance, 1893 Apr. 1,to Marie Tittman Foundation, Dresden, with 2 related letters, 1894 ; her references as a governess, including one from Cosima Wagner ("Frau Richard Wagner geb. Liszt"),Bayreuth, 1876 May 15 (probably copied in another hand) ; envelope in which documents were contained when sent by Mrs. Baumgarten to Mrs. Burrell.
Biographical/Historical Note
Susanne Weinert was a governess employed in the Wagner household at Villa Wahnfried, July 1875 - April 1876. The German opera composer Richard Wagner had married Cosima Von Bülow (born Liszt), his second wife, in 1870.
