The Planning and Resources Committee of the Board of Trustees was formed in 1980 to review the objectives of the New York Public Library and suggest changes in the means and personnel necessary to achieve them. Its memberswere: Chairman William M. Dietel, Mrs. John D. Gordan, Samuel Wooley, Sol N. Corbin, Carl H. Pforzheimer, David Stam, Edwin Holmgren, and ex-officio Richard Salomon and Richard Couper.
