Scope/Contents Note
Collection consists of correspondence, writings, notes, shorthand notebooks, and photograph. Bulk of the collection is manuscripts in Benn Pitman shorthand of letters and writings concerning the trial of Mary Surratt for alleged complicity in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. Also, writings by others, two shorthand notebooks,and photograph of Mary Surratt.
