Collection consists of incoming business letters, 1887-1896, to Heffley; 1922 contract; lectures, 1890-1894, on the history of shorthand and typewriters and related subjects; notes; and shorthand notebooks.
Biographical/Historical Note
Norman Peter Heffley (1854-1935) was an American teacher and inventor of the Heffley shorthand system. He founded the Heffley School of Commerce in Brooklyn, New York.
