Scope/Contents Note

Collection consists of various documents which have been demonstrated to be forgeries. Individuals whose documentswere forged include Abraham Lincoln (including many forgeries by Joseph Cosey), Edgar Allan Poe, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Sir Walter Scott, William Blake, Thomas Lynch, Jr., D.H. Lawrence, Charles Lamb, Isaac M. Clover, J. McEwel, John O'Day, James Byam Shaw, and Joseph Taylor.
