William Thomson was a merchant in Georgetown in Washington,D.C. Day book (1796-1802) and ledger (1803-1811) kept by William Thomson recording entries for repair of household utensils made of copper, tin, pewter, and other materials,as well as for the sale of spiritous liquors. Clients in Thomson's accounts include Thomas Jefferson, Francis Key, and Dr. John Weems.
